So, as I'm sure you have heard, the United States Supreme Court has ruled same-sex marriage as a constitutional right, and thus making it legal in all 50 states. When I heard the news, I didn't think much of it. My initial reaction was just thinking "Awesome!" Why such a casual reaction? Well, that's because I live in Massachusetts, the first state to legalize it, and it's been legal since 2003. So, living in this state you can see why I didn't think much of it. However, I thought about it more, and I became more and more ecstatic about it. This really is a big deal! (I guess you could say that we're feeling...gay about it.) The USA can boast about it's freedom a little more. XD *But we still have a flawed healthcare system* *ahem* Anyway, yes, this is definitely a step in the right direction.
But the fight is far from being over. There are so many people saying "Good. Gay people got what they wanted, and they can shut up now." HAH! No. Just because they have the legal right to marry now doesn't mean they automatically have equal rights. In some states, a job can reject someone's application just because they're gay. We still have work to do towards equal rights, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. The Westboro Baptist Church and other homophobes can go on and on about how they believe it's wrong and such, but it isn't going to change anything, and how it's the downfall of America. If they actually did research, they'd know that countries where it's been legal are the happiest. And anyone saying they're moving to Canada, have fun living in a country that was 10 years ahead of the USA on marriage equality!
And to celebrate, have this picture:
Have a nice day!

Where I've been
If there's anyone who'd been wondering, I'm still alive. I haven't done anything in a while due to work and a total lack of inspiration/motivation for anything. Work, yo. It drains you a bit.
I don't know when I'll start posting artwork again, but you'll know when I start posting again.
I hope you're all doing well. Have a nice day/night.
